Biography

Ted Pease, winner of two grants in jazz composition from the National Endowment of the Arts, designed the original Bachelor of Music major in jazz composition at Berklee in 1980. He is the author of several jazz composition and arranging texts that have been required study for Berklee students for many years. Pease has extensive experience in classroom teaching, curriculum development, and jazz ensemble judging.

Now retired after forty years of teaching, Professor Pease intends to continue sharing his experience. He welcomes inquiries regarding jazz ensemble coaching, composition and arranging clinics, and jazz curriculum development.
